Chapter 2.7

Welcome back, and welcome to a new location for the Legacie's story! In the last chapter, Stefan had just aged up into a toddler. Also, Lynda had become an ADULT adult and Dawson had become a teenager. Just like all installments, you can be sure there will be a birthday or two involved =P

Anyhow, on we go!

Seeing as it was a Friday night, and Dawson was in a funk, he decided to head out for a night on the town.

He dressed in his finest formal attire....

...tried to bribe the bouncer, to no avail.

But he made it home safely by 1am, starving and exhausted, but without getting caught by the police! Successful, but short night.

Meanwhile....

Stefan likes to beat the shit out of poor, helpless Bob! Just slams him on the ground time and time again. Not exactly as kind towards him as other little Legacie's have been. Poor Bob.

Meanwhile once more.....

It's another double birthday! The girls today are turning into teens!

Liam and Lynda start off with some breakfast, while Kaytee eagerly awaits her birthday by hanging out right next to her cake.

Liam: Kaytee, honey, why don't you go play outside for awhile. The party isn't for a few hours.

Kaytee: I'm just reading my book, dad. I know the party isn't yet.

In the meantime, Dawson's chatting it up with the maid. Oh dear....

Dawson: Oh, keep out of this, will you? It's just a conversation. You're jumping to conclusions.

Maid: I beg your pardon?

Dawson: Err...sorry about that. Voices in my head....

Maid: I....gotta get back to work.

Dawson: Now see what you've done?! I was just trying to avoid my parents and their grotesque makeout session.

Makeout session?

Indeed, Dawson wasn't lying. Lynda and Liam are next to the buffet table sucking face, while guests are arriving for the birthday extravaganza. Knock it off, you two!

Annette was up first, since she truly is the oldest of the two.

And who shows up uninvited? Tom Wordy. And who is he busy thinking about? Natalie. Excuse me, Tom, this is Annette and Kaytee's birthday. You didn't need to stalk Natalie into our home and interrupt our birthday party with the guests oohing and ahhing at your celebrity-ness.

(And don't worry, according to my game, Natalie is still completely single, so we don't have to worry about Tom yet. Caden, however, found himself a lovely little lady ;] )

Everyone was super excited for Annette to age up....

It appears for a brief moment that everybody looked away in utter horror of Annette's terrible disfigurement....

But here she is, good as new.
New trait - Neurotic.
Yay! Something new and exciting for a change!
(my random trait generator sucks in general)

Next up was Kaytee, and everyone is still super stoked, as you can see:

Anyway....

Kaytee also suffered temporary disfigurement, but all was fixed soon enough....

Kaytee's new trait - Never Nude
Since I had to forceage her as an infant, for some reason she is missing a trait and only possesses 3...

As soon as everyone left the birthday party, Liam decided to go elsewhere. He was invited to another party by his co-worker, but instead of the party he ended up here:

Skinny dipping in a random stranger's hot tub.

Liam immediately rolled up wants to WooHoo in hot tubs, buy a hot tub, etc. However, since nobody is making much money around here, we couldn't afford a hot tub. So instead? We bought a nice sculpting station, which Kaytee jumped right to.

On a Sunday afternoon, Annette, Kaytee, and Dawson decided to head out into Bridgeport for some fun.

They crammed into the elevator, and once they were inside they went their separate ways....

Annette immediately went to gorge on some onion rings.

Annette: Wait, these aren't -- these aren't poisoned, are they?

Not that I'm aware of, my dear.

Kaytee wandered over to a seat and pulled out a book she had brought along with her. Really? Bringing a book with you out on the town?

Kaytee: Hey, I didn't even really want to do this. I don't like being around this many people.

Boy, do you take after your dad.

Dawson found a woman who appeared to be just as thrilled about life as he was, and they chatted it up for quite some time.

Annette later met Trey...

Annette: Do you think those onion rings are poisoned?

Trey: The onion rings? No, what kind of question is that?

Annette: A pretty good one, if I say so myself. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go wash my hands three times.

Trey: ....

Annette, you need to work on your social skills. I keep you children cooped up far too much (but there's a reason for that, which we'll soon find out).

Kaytee proceeded to eat some dinner, alone.... these loners should really try to branch out once in awhile.

Kaytee: I'm here, aren't I?!

Yeah, maybe we'll leave you behind next time.

Kaytee: That's a genuinely rude thing to say.

Suddenly, Annette started sprinting out of the lounge....

Annette: Dawson, Kaytee, HURRY!

Don't worry about it, kids, she probably just wants you to go wash your hands.

Annette: It's 12:00! We're way past curfew! The police are coming for us!

Kaytee quickly followed her sister (look at the angry bouncer!), but of course she didn't want to be there in the first place.

In the meantime, back at the Legacie abode....

Lynda stopped teaching Stefan to talk, and just stood up...and waited. And waited. Looking very displeased. Perhaps she realized the time and lack of children?

And here's why I don't like taking groups out...

Everyone finally arrived home, but they arrived exhausted/starving/on the verge of wetting themselves, and it was like 3:00 in the morning. It took them around 4 sim hours to get home. Because of all of this, all three of the teens ended up missing school the next day. This is Kaytee and Annette's second time missing school. Not good, not good.

Kaytee got up...in a very concealing bathrobe (look, I know you're 'never nude', Kaytee, but even your daytime outfit is more revealing than that). She quickly checked for any signs of a wrathful dad or mom...

But - What's this?

Even Liam, workaholic extraordinaire, called in to work today. What an awful day the Legacie's are having!

As soon as the kids felt they were in the clear about missing curfew and skipping school, they resumed their normal, boring lives.

Kaytee went off to sculpt....

Annette spent some time trying to solve the unsolvable...

And Dawson had a very awkward meal with his mother, hoping he wouldn't get lectured. And he didn't. Phew!

Later on, Grady decided to stop by, and break our computer. Lana never comes to visit! Ever.

Lynda was getting mighty stir crazy cooped up in that house all day every day, so we sent her about 50 feet away to go do some fishing. That cleared her mood up pretty quickly, so we sent her back on over to the house to resume daily activities.

And we'll leave off with this lovely, adorable picture of Stefan.

Thanks for reading!

Chapter 2.6

 Welcome back, welcome back.
I've recently learned that those of us who play The Sims on Mac computers have issues with custom hair randomly disappearing. This has been occurring quite regularly for me, and therefore I have been extremely limited to when I am able to play (when the hair shows up). But I am able to update now.

When we left the Legacie's, Liam and Lynda had just talked about Liam's workaholic tendencies, and he had agreed to spend more time with his family. The couple retired to the bedroom, happily in love.

The next morning, it was time once again for another double birthday party. There seems to be birthdays out the wazzoo every single chapter. Ridiculous.

And look! Natalie decided to grace us with her presence for this one! Unfortunately it appears she lost her outfit during one of my many recent fiascos I've been dealing with. Ah well...

Liam was very excited to be reunited with his long-lost sister. And then, who woulda thunk....

Caden showed up as well! It's a damn family reunion, not a birthday party! Anyhow, on to the birthday party.

Aww, now look. That's not a grumpy face at all!

Look at that air!

Naturally, Dawson would blink during his picture, but he grew up nicely. New trait - Flirty.

Next up was dear ol' mom....

Not looking too particularly THRILLED about aging up, I see....

Lynda: Let's just get this over with...
Indeed. Aw, but look, Lynda!

Everyone is here eagerly awaiting your aging up! Isn't that sweet?

Lynda: Like I said, let's just get this done.
Alright, alright..

A brief look of terror spreads across her face....

Lynda: I don't want wrinkles! Oh, please don't give me wrinkles!

And here she is. Pretty much the same, but you can definitely tell she's older.

Lynda: I know what that means! Ohh, I'm a hideous old hen.

Not at all what I was saying.

Lynda: Just leave me and my old lady face alone!

Alright, alright!

In an effort to listen to Lynda and give her some space to mourn, I checked in on the children. Dawson was enjoying some birthday cake with his little sisters.

Annette: Hey, we're not little!
Kaytee: Yeah, Stefan is little. We're big kids now!

Of course, of course. Where is Stefan these days, anyhow? I never see any of him...

Annette: That's because he's a baby. Baby's aren't important.
Dawson: Hey now, Annette, that isn't true. You two got plenty of exposure when you were babies.

Later that night, the two BIG geniuses did their homework with their daddy.

And at the end of the night, Liam made Lynda feel better about her looks by giving her a little birthday celebration! Ooh, lah lah.

Now that Dawson is a teenager, he's been helping out with Stefan so his parents are less stressed out. What a good son and brother!

Liam has been doing a much better job at spending time with his family, but he got called down to work early and had to go. He does, after all, need to set his sights on his Lifetime Wish, and that directly involves his career. Just don't lose sight of your legacy and family, Liam!

Liam: I know that now, voice, and I don't need you to tell me. I figured it out on my own with the help of my wife.

Yes, of course.

With Liam out of the house earlier than expected, Lynda just decided to enjoy a microwave meal rather than prepare a real meal.

Later on that day, Lynda quit her job in the Ghost Hunter profession and went down to city hall to register as a self-employed painter. She'd been away from work for so long she decided she might as well be doing something she can do from home.

Lynda: Well, that IS where I am all the time, after all. Might as well be productive.
Good thinking. When you first joined the family and I learned you wanted to "live in the lap of luxury", I figured you'd be somewhat of a mooch.

Lynda: That just goes to show you that you can't judge a sim by her Lifetime Wish.

Being on call was beneficial to Liam, as he was promoted to an Undercover Specialist that evening!

That night, Liam was invited to a party to celebrate his promotion. I'm surprised he went, being a loner and all.

And once midnight rolled around, Liam got called back into work. Apparently these undercover specialists are in high demand.

Liam: So....tired....must.....sleep.....

Hey, now. Just remember when work was the only thing you ever cared about. Now is your chance to live up to your workaholic title!

Oh, hey Grady. What's crackin'?

Grady: Just headed over to jump on the trampoline.
Hey, how come Lana never comes to visit?

Grady: Something about not wanting to be bothered by you....

Well, I never! Actually, yes I have...quite a few times. Alright then, I'll leave you to it!

Here we have Liam cooking up a nice meal, proof that he's become quite the family man these days.

And here are the Legacie's having a nice family meal. Minus Lynda, where is Lynda, anyhow?!

Here she is, napping in the nursery. Poor mom is exhausted!

Before we knew it, it was time for Stefan's birthday!

Here he is, cute as a button! Not sure where he got the brown hair from, however.

THERE'S that grumpy face! I was beginning to think it had disappeared!

Dawson: Oh, shut up.

I'm gonna leave off here. Nothing too exciting or lengthy, I know. I will update again soon. Thanks for reading!
